Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 26, 2026

FreeHosting exists to put websites online, not to collect data about you. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it — in plain language.

1. What we collect

Account information: when you sign up we store your name, email address, and a hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google — never your Google password.

Your content: the files you upload so we can host them and serve them on your site's web address.

Usage data: basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used to keep the service running and secure.

2. How we use it

To provide the service: hosting your files, serving your sites, and letting you manage them from your dashboard.

To keep things safe: preventing abuse, spam, and illegal content.

To communicate with you about your account or important changes to the service. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

3. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. That's it — no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

4. Third parties we rely on

Cloudflare R2 stores and serves the files you upload.

Google provides optional sign-in (Google OAuth).

Vercel hosts the application and provides privacy-friendly analytics.

Each of these providers processes data under their own privacy policies.

5. Data retention

We keep your account data and uploaded content for as long as your account exists. Delete a site and its files are removed from our storage. Delete your account and we remove your personal data, except where we are legally required to keep it.

6. Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. Most of this you can do directly from your dashboard; for anything else, contact us and we'll help.

7. Children

The service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we will update this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email. The date above always reflects the latest version.
